211: Friendship

My friends are very few and scattered geographically, so here's what Facebook looks like when you only use it to log into other sites.

209: This is new!

Protip: got a proper tripod and remote? Don't bother doing the mirror shot selfie, it's too much damn work and you'll never be pleased with the result.

207: The Everyday

Either bike or Bowflex, or both. No quarter. 856.9 is the number of miles we have accumulated on it since late May this year.

205: D is for ...

Dean!

Or as I call him, Programmer's Kitty. Or As Ivette and PJ call him, Dean Winchester.

202: Favorite food

Bread is my drug.

These flatbread pockets are 100 calories a portion and don't have the texture of cardboard, they are a godsend for those of us on a low-carb regime. There is also a sandwich version, but that one is a bit more coarse and I won't eat it unless I toast it, while the pocket version is very soft.

From searching their site I don't think that there is a gluten-free version, which is too bad.

200: Building

Didn't have a chance to take a decent shot, so here's something I shot a few years ago: Washington Masonic Monument/Memorial as seen from the King Street metro rail station in Alexandria, Virginia.

199: Number

The number is $55.99, which is what it cost to buy a replacement screen for PJs Chromebook, a laptop that is barely two months old.

More numbers:

The laptop was refurbished ($200 + $4 shipping) so it didn't qualify for accidental damage coverage through SquareTrade, so that's $31.99 I paid for a warranty I cannot use unless the damn thing actually dies by itself. Total spent: $291.98, and that's until it breaks again.

Had I purchased it new, including accidental damage coverage: $309.99.

198: Inspirational

Couldn't even find a pair of 44s for this shot (for all I know, Ivette set them on fire), and I barely fit into 36s so no new pants yet.

196: Outside the window

Hot miserable North Virginia, and just for the hell of it, it's a dry heat which is not exactly normal around here.

195: Edible

With extreme prejudice. Oh wait, that term isn't PC anymore, are we supposed to say "render the ice cream sandwich harmless (by eating it)?

194: 4 O'clock

Actually 3:53 PM today, because exactly at 4:00 PM I was busy eating my ice cream (Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip, 260 calories in half a cup) and I didn't want to be fumbling with the camera or even the phone.

193: A Bad Habit

Programmer's Kitty is Messy Kitty.

So is Caustic Kitty for that matter.

183: Shoes

Outstanding walking shoes (New Balance 659) and very affordable. We got those locking shoe laces as an experiment since +PJ Vera kept stepping on his, they worked so well that we bought more for everyone. +Ivette Vera uses the model 759 and her feet pain complains are pretty much gone, even on days when she is on her feet all day.

182: Happiness ...
