It takes light a little over 1.134×10-10 seconds (113.4 pico seconds) to travel from left-to-right (a little over 34mm). It also means that at this distance from the subject my macro magnification ratio isn't 1:1, more like 1.1:1 (30mm lens seeing about 34mm of width).
